Hello all,

I have a Windows 2003 SP1 server that is constatly (every 15 seconds or so)
throwing the following error in the logs.

Event id 333:

"An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The
Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that
contain the system's image of the Registry."

Microsoft in it's usual helpfulness, tells me that there is no information
available regarding this. I think that if the system is going to log it,
there should be some helpful information about it somewhere.

Anything you can tell me that might help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike Deering

Event ID 333 can be hardware or software issues. this troubleshooting may help,

Event ID 333 - An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably
Symptom: There is Event ID 333 with this message in the Event Viewer: “An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in or write out or flush one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry”.
