event ID 3109 The redirector failed to determine the connection ty

Hi....

some windows 2000 Pcs on one of our networks whenever they access a network
drive on a Windows 2003 member server computer they get the following message
in their event viewer system log
Id 3019 source Mrxsmb
The redirector failed to determine the connection type

It does not happen when they access a drive on their SBS 2000 server. Ive
found some articles but none very helpful... the system log is just full up
of these messages.. Other Identical Windows 2000 pcs are ok.

ive tried various things.... updated nic card drivers.... disabling netbios
over TCPip
with no luck... any ideas ?

Make sure the time is sync'ed between the servers and workstations.
