Hello,

After about an hour or so one of our Windows 2003 STD servers loses its
inbound connection to it. It can still ping out, just no one can ping back in
to it. Reboot it, and the problem goes away for about another hour or so.
I've been watching the logs and think I have pinpointed it to the below
message which is showing up in the Application log. It looks like when this
event occurs is when people lose connectivity. Please help!

Source: Application Error
Category: (100)
Event ID: 1000
Type: Error
User: N/A

Faulting application svchost.exe. version 5.2.3790.3959, faulting module
shell32.dll version 6.0.3790.4184, fault address 0x0014e84e.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a vulnerability on your Windows 2003. Its mentioned on MS08-067.

Even though it doesnt say anything about shell32.dll, I've known people with
the same problem as you and installing this hotfix, the problem was solved.
You should try it.

Hope it helps

Cheers
