event 1054 on Windows 2003 member server

I am getting the following events:
"Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network.
(An unexpected network error occurred. ). Group Policy processing aborted. "

Running netdiag reports this:
"Redir and Browser test . . . . . . : Failed
List of transports currently bound to the Redir
NetbiosSmb
NetBT_Tcpip_{934D2CA0-7795-4F32-A94D-4DA044C8A202}
The redir is bound to 1 NetBt transport.

[FATAL] Cannot send mailslot message to

All other tests pass
Any ideas?
