When our server reboots we get a warning in our system log that the Ethernet
adapter link is down. about 18 minutes later the link comes up on its own
(i.e. without any intervention). the problem with this is that the DHCP
server then fails to function properly. i have to then manually bounce the
DHCP Server service to get everyhting to work properly.
there used to be two network cards in this machine, i removed one when we
moved the firewall to another box. this problem began when i removed the
card.
the server is running w2k3 enterprise. i have attached the messages in the
system log.
does anyone have a suggestions as to the cause and fix of this problem?
thanks
MR
