ethernet card setup problem

hello,
Delaying initialization eth1 is the error i am getting while setting 2
nics on my mercury motherboard which has one onboard nic.
how can i solve this? also it seems there is ?IRQ sharing problem
between eth0(external) and eth1(internal) cards.
i am unable to access my 2 networks both eth's are statically set.

Give more information :

- card reference and type (pci/isa)
- output of lspci
- output of ifconfig
- output of netstat -rn
- output of iptables -L and iptables -t nat -L
....
