I am running RedHat 9 in another incarnation. I have a DLink 604 router
backing up a Xyxel DSL modem. With kernel 2.4.20-8, things work well.
However, with replacement kernel 2.4.20-31.9, eth0 is not recognized.
I can boot either one, but I would prefer 31.9 for security reasons.
I get the message 'nvnet device eth0 does not seem to be present'.
Suggestions, please. I have tried the usual network activation,
without success.
