Hi, I am having a problem installing network devices.

An example is when I install a network card (broadband)
Windows install it normally but after I reboot errors
start coming up, like all things that start up with
windows gets an error and has to close, like SAVE, GMT,
LOADQM, SYNC, and many others. Also if I go into a folder
it comes up with a rundll error, and if I try using
Internet Explorer it comes up with an Explorer error.

This problem though is not just secluded to that network
card, because for one thing it works in another machine of
mine (running Windows XP Pro) and if I try using a Lynksys
USB Network Adapter it does has the same problem.

I am really hoping that someone will be able to help me
with this very annoying and strange problem.

Another thing, after these problems come up there is no
way to undo them without system restoring. Also before I
tried to install these network devices I was able to use
my internet using just a USB cable connected directly to
the modem (default installation) and am still able to do
so only after system restore.

I am running Windows ME 800mhz 128mb ram using a COMPAQ
presario. Thanks in advance for any help available to me.

One other thing, why am I trying to use different network
devices? The reason is because I am trying to route my
connection using a D-Link Ethernet Broadband router.

Thanks again!

I'd get a copy of AdAware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/, install it,
update it, run it and clean off any accumulated spyware or adware on your
system, then restart and keep running it until it's clean.
