Error

I can't get a browser to work on a windows 98 pc. I can
ping anything internally and externally. I have no dns
issues however when trying to use a browser, either IE 6 or
netscape I am getting a socket error.

Unable to create a network socket connection.

I have reloaded windows and checked the services file. Any
ideas would be great.

Sounds like you have Spyware. Download and run AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com and remove any spyware it finds.
