I suggest you consult with McAfee's support section or post to the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup. This newsgroup supports
Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software only.

I'm sorry, but I don't run McAfee anti virus software. This newsgroup
supports Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software only, not AV
programs. I would suggest if you don't get any results in the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup that you contact McAfee
support. It is their program.

Hi,
I have run into exactly the same blue screen with my dell laptop. I did not
do anything with McAffe per se, but something is wrong and I am seeing the
same symptoms that you are describing here. I too have important files that
I don;t want to lose by reimaging the disk.

Here is the message I get:
stop: 0x0000008e (0xC0000005,0xBF841D63,0xECA17AEC,0x00000000)
win32k.sys - address BF841D63 base at BF800000, datestamp 43446a58

Windows fails to startup after displaying this message. Were you able to
resolve your problem? What was the fix? How did you get Windows to start
again? ANY HELP YOU PROVIDE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

THANKS A LOT!

I would contact McAfee support, since this issue seems to be common with
that program. This newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband Networking
hardware and software only.
