Set up: Windows 98 machine on a small network. 2 NIC cards - one for the
network, one for DSL router. Norton Firewall was preventing the user from
seeing/browsing the network. Upon reconfiguration of the firewall, network
connectivity was restored. Now the following message appears at startup:

The following error occurred while loading protocol #2. Error 59. A network
error has occurred.

The user clicks ok, and the message goes away, but he is tired of seeing
this message every time he turns his PC on. Any ideas of what the message
means and how to get rid of it?

Thanks in advance for any/all replies!

Error 59 means that a server could not be found on the network. Most
commonly this happens if you have incorrect settings for DNS or WINS
resolution.
