Error message for dial up PPP for ADSL

When i want to activate the PPP0 in network configuration, it won't let
me activate. Anyone knows what the possible reasons ? I have upgraded
from linux RH 7.3 to linux 9. In 7.3 it also have this problem, so i
thought it would be fixed in 9, but still same. Pls advise. Thanks

What is the eror message that you get?

What does the log show?
