Hi Everyone,

About a year ago we went through a migration and did a server upgrade on our
mail server. For a time we had 2 mail servers but now only have one. I
continue to get errors from our domain contollers in referance to this old
mail server. Im not sure where the info is comming from as i can find no
referance to this server anywhere but maybe im missing something. Below is
the error commonly logged:
EventID: 100009
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer oldmailserver using any of
the configured protocols.

I would like to get rid of this error and any referance to this old mail
server, any help would be great.
thanks a bunch,

In addition to Myweb's suggestion, have you tried searching the reg for the
old Exchange machine name? I had this problem at a client with a DC they
removed from the domain, but it had failed a demotion. I found it in the reg
with a search. You will also want to check Component Services as well
(mentioned in the eventID.net article Myweb posted).
