Good morning all,

Troubleshooting some Win9x machines not connecting to
network Home directories on a Win2K Advanced server. All
W2K and XP machines can connect correctly, but a domain
logon from a Win9x machine does not map the home directory.

When opening up a command prompt and running:

Net Use P: \\<servername>\users$\<username> it returns
the following error

"Error 50.The Network Request is not supported. "

I have checked the permissions; I can browse the network
and find it that way but can not push it out in a logon
script or home directory in AD.

Thoughts

You can't map shares in this manner in Windows 98. You can map only to a
shared folder directly, not to subfolders of a share.
