Can anyone help with my problem? I have a Linksys wireless
router and I have cable Internet. I have connected my PC
win98 by ethernet cable to router and get Internet OK. I
have wireless connection to laptop XP and get Internet OK.
I have named my PC mesh and I have tried to set up a
connection to it from my laptop but I get all the way
through and says it has connected but every time I tried
to connect it gives 769 error message. What am i doing
wrong? I have tried laptop as host and as guest, the same.
any help please thanks

See if this Microsoft Knowledge Base article helps:

If it doesn't, please reply to this message in the news group (not by
E-mail) with more information to help other people understand the
problem. For example:

How are you trying to connect to the PC from the laptop? What
commands are you using, or what icons are you clicking? Are you
trying to use Direct Cable Connection? DCC doesn't work when the
computers are connected to a router.

What do you mean by "as host and as guest"?

What is the exact text of the message that says that it has connected?
