This error pops up occasionally when copying large files across the network
to an SMB share.

Can anyone offer a technical explanation of this error and/or point out the
possible causes?

I've googled this and found out that a lot of people have see the error, but
no one has a good explanation as to why it's happening, or what can be
causing it.
