This is an old item and I'm looking for information on it. NT 4 domain
trusting another NT 4.0 domain. When the trusting domain tries to add a user
or group from the trusted domain to a resource on a windows 2000 member
server. That person is unable to enumerate the domain. But if that person
uses an nt 40 machine and maps a drive to admin share above the resource on
the windows 2000 member server is able then to enumerate users from the
trusted domain. The windows 2000 is more restrictive and I don't remember
exactly why.

Another resolution is to give the user a guest account access to the trusted
domain. I searched premier support to no avail.

Thanks

Can it even find the domain when you select "look in" in the selection box
at the top of the list?? Make sure that the W2K computer is also a wins
client and that it can ping the PDC by name. I have not used NT4.0 in quite
a while but also try running the netdiag support tool on the W2K server to
make sure it can find the domain controller, etc. --- Steve
