entering wep passwords mn-720

When i try to enter the same password that i put in my
wireless router i can never get it to let me in. It keeps
comming up with an error nessage that says i need a 5 or
13 digit password or a hex equivilant. how do i get this
number to put in the 720 card as there is no way to enter
the digits. wequired
