I am trying to follow the instructions in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article -
239869 but I'm having trouble performing the REGEDIT steps.

The original instructions are listed below. However, I don't see any "Add
Value" option on the Edit menu. The options I see under edit are

New, Delete, Rename, Copy Key Name, Find, Find Next

Under the New selection there are the following options: Key, String Value,
Binary Value, DWORD Value

Another issue is that there is already a key listed with the name LSA. Do I
create a new entry below that key?

Any idea how to execute the MSFT instructions (listed below) given what I'm
seeing in the REGEDIT screen?

Thanks

Chuck

=================== ORIGINAL MSFT Instructions below
=========================

To enable a Windows 95/98 client for NTLM 2 authentication, install the
Directory Services Client. To activate NTLM 2 on the client, follow these
steps:

Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).

Locate and click the following key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l

Create an LSA registry key in the registry key listed above. On the Edit
menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:

Value Name: LMCompatibility
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 3
Valid Range: 0,3

Description: This parameter specifies the mode of authentication and session
security to be used for network logons. It does not affect interactive
logons
