I have been unable to ping my Windows 2003 Server from my
XP Pro client. I can ping the client from the Server
however. I *think* that I need to enable ICMP Echo
Requests on the server, but can't figure out where to
enable them. Can someone please help?

Thanks,
Brian Beckers

Check the Internet Connection Firewall settings
on the LAN connection. Next, if you have RRAS
running use the RRAS admin to check the
properties of the LAN connection. Incoming
and outgoing filters.

I am running RRAS, and the NAT/Basic Firewall Properties
for the LAN Connection show "Private interface connected
to private network" checked, so the ICMP tab is not
enabled. I tried chaning the selection to "Basic
Firewall", then enabling Echo Requests on the ICMP tab,
but that did not work either.
Did I miss something?

Open RRAS admin and expand IP routing then left click on
general and double click on LAN connection. Next click on
the inbound filters and outbound filters.
