Because the server is configured to access NFS.
There's not enough information to help you. Is this a dialog box or event
log entry? Do you have access to commend line? What happens if you start in
safe mode (

you have recent system state backup or another DC?
This may be a network card issue. Try booting into alternative OS (any Linux
live CD will do) to check your network connectivity.
