Hi

I have a wireless network with the PC as the main machine and a couple
laptop connected wirelessly.

Can anyone suggest an Outlook add-on that will allow emails received
on the main PC to be on sent to laptops on a wireless network.

Many thanks

Havent a clue about an 'add-on' but what i have done is thus:

Set up all the PCs to contact your email servers so they can receive and
send emails but untick the "delete mail from server" box.

In my case my main PC is on all the time, and its Outlook preferences tell
it to delete from server, but its sat behind a firewall which defaults to
locked after 5mins, so it then cannot check for new email whilst its locked.

My laptop has dont delete email from server, but doesnt have the auto lock
enabled.

Hence, in a fashion both always have uptodate email available.

Tim..

It might be better to check for some setting which allows mail to be deleted
after (say) 10 days, which means the laptop(s) can grab the mail any time in
that number of days before the main PC will automatically delete it from the
server. Not seen that 'locking' feature - which firewall, please ? TIA.

He could also look into seeing if his email provider has IMAP capability
rather than POP3. All machines would "share" the email then.

Even better would be to install a mail handling system that downloads
the mail and delivers it via a local POP3 or IMAP server. I am using
Turnpike here, which does the same sort of job. Unfortunately as
Turnpike isn't being developed any more I couldn't recommend it.

Ask if your ISP supports IMAP.

You could run your own IMAP server on the PC to give you access from the
laptops.
