email notification upon server down

Hi, how can i be notified (by email) if any of my servers goes down ? What
software or service can i install ?

I have 4 servers that runs Windows 2000 Server, one of them is DC, one of
them Mail and the other 2 are file servers.

Please help.

We use HP server that comes with FREE system insight manager. SIM can do what you want to.
