I have a broadband connection with Plus. As has been suggested by several
people here before I am going to register my own domain name to future-proof
my email address should I change ISP in the future.

Now I understand that I can register this domain and get Plus to host it but
I have a problem. I do not like Plus' webmail facility.

I want to be able to forward a copy of every email received to a second
address AND keep the original on my mail server. Plus does not allow you to
do this.

If I register a domain and find someone to host it can I still use Outlook
or OE to send and receive from my Plus BB dialup, perhaps using the "my
server requires authentication option" as opposed to using Plus' smtp
server?

Can anyone recommend a good email host with a fairly comprehensive webmail
control panel that will allow me to create and delete up to 3 mailboxes and
fully customise them to my requirements (forwarding COPIES, multiple
forwarding addresses, away messages,etc.)

Thanks in advance

Alun

Hi Alun,

I offer E-mail only hosting at www.angelhosts.com - you have the option of
using up to 20 different email (E-Mail Removed) and have the option
of accessing these via webmail, or POP in OE. You can also send and receive
in OE using your domain name in OE on plus.

With the account you have access to email forwarding, a spam filter, plus
spam assassin, auto responders (away ,messages) etc

Thanks for the reply Krystian,

Had a quick look at the site. Can you tell me..

1. It's possible to take a look at a typical control panel?
2. Can I send using a SMTP server other than Plus'? The whole point of this
is to future proof things so if my next ISP is a very basic dialup only
connection I still want to be able to use smtp.
3. Can I pay annually - site gives as monthly cost and does it have to be
paypal or check.
4. If I register my domain with someone, how do I tell that that you are
hosting it. I'm not very familiar with how this works so any information
would be greatly appreciated.
5. Could you please respond to
alun.williams(removetoreply)@orange.net
removing the brackets and their contents - we don't need to burden the
people here any further.

Thanks

Alun
