How do I get rid of the MS Networking dialog box at
Startup which request a Name and Password? I have tried,
without success, the sequence "Start-Shutdown-Restart-
Cancel" as recommended in the MS Help file. Thanks for any
help you can offer.

Canceling the login won't prevent the Networking dialog box from
returning the next time the computer starts.

Go to Control Panel | Network, set the primary network logon to
Windows Logon, reboot, and log on with a user name and no password.

Thanks Steve for the help with respect to this problem.
You have solved it. The agonizing aspect of all of this is
that I was aware of the choices for Primary Network Logon
when I set up my Network. When I looked at the choices,
via the ?(question box), MS offered no explantion
regarding this nuisance log on requirement. Thanks for the
help. You have made my day

Sincerely
Melvin in Roseville California
