OK so perhaps this is old news but Eclipse's customer service was
exemplary until I tried to connect to the promised full Newsfeed. They
have a broken news server but whilst they reply within hours to any
other problem, in three weeks they have ignored all complaints to do
with News. They did this week try ( after three weeks of non-stop
complaining) and argue that a full News service wasn't included in the
standard ADSL service but since I insisted that it has to be before I
signed up and at the time they promised it was, I have to ask why now
I've signed up they try and pretend it isn't? Just for the record the
broadband has been excellent but if I'd known how incompetent they were
when it came to "real" problems then I'd have picked another ISP for
ADSL!

From what I have read non of the UK Broadband providers have a NEWS server
that is consistently reliable.
I think to get reliable news you need to have multiple news feeds, and I bet
most have not budgeted for a single feed, never mind multiples.

I am quite happy with Clara, it has one or two problems sometimes but is
a million times better than Demon.
