Eclipse Broadband

Anyone out there use Eclipse as an ISP? Any comments or recommendations?

Always fast, reliable connection. Tech support has been first rate when
I needed it.

News server (if you're interested) has relativelly good completion, and
fantastic retention, but is ridiculously slow (lucky to get 120kbits/s
most of the time).

their "flex" system works well when you need it (in my case 1MB up to
2MB, about 6 hours a week), but does seem to take about 30 minutes to
actually kick in


I like them enough to recommend them without whoring referrer codes.
Some think they're a bit expensive, but if you need things like static
IP Addresses (free if you request them when you sign up) and unlimited
newsgroups they aren't much more expensive than the other major
"unlimited" ISPs.

Its a throttled connection to giganews, hence the fantastic retention.
