I recently experianced poor speeds from Eclipse. Checking on my account
iIhad been put on an amber warning and advised to limit my downloads. They
claim to send an email notifying you of this but I never recived one. I am
not a heavy user and was taken back by their actions. I asked them how much
I had down loaded. their reply
Nerys-May Hughes Re Barred when should not be

Thank you for your email.

I do apologies but we are unable to send a full break down of each
customers usage this is not how our system works.
I can advise you that your account has been re set your account to
green for your convenience.
I do hope this is a reasonable compromise at this time.

Many thanks

How can they implement a fair usage policy if they cant tell you how
much you have down loaded. I am sure other ISPs are just as bad but

the circle of ISP saying we have a FUP but it only effects a small number
of heavey user but we won't tell you what that limit is and we won't tell
how much you have download either is just stupid.

Just as well my 12mths is up at the end of this month. Time to move on.

I have been told by someone at Eclipse that they want to return to being a
business only ISP - they no longer want residential clients.
