Is dyndns possible for a webserver behind a router and when the webserver
has a nonpublic ip address?

You provide dyndns with the router's Public IP Address then port forward
port 80 to the server's private IP Address.

might try no-ip too (see www.no-ip.com ), easier to use and no errors if too
many updates of IP
(uses a tool called IP-DUC to communicate your IP, just like DynDns has its
own tool)

Some routers also support dynamic DNS natively, so no IP updating tool is
necessary.
