Dynamic Disks

My server is a 2003 enterprise box. I've finally managed to make all hard
drives redundant using hardware except 1 (a large data drive that stores
files for network access)
I'm planning to use Windows RAID-1 to get the last drive mirrored. However,
I still have some legacy clients that will need access to the files and I
read conflicting information about whether pre-windows2000 clients can access
files from a dynamic disk across a network. Is this a problem, or is it only
locally that 98/ME etc cannot access dynamic disks?

Thanks in advance.

It's only locally. The clients don't know or care what kind of disk the
data is being served from.
