Repeater mode was working fine. But after moving the repeater and
upgrading the firmware this is a problem. I have tryed roling back the
firmware to the oldest i could find and also using hacked firmware. I
have tryed everything but taking it for a swim in the beach.

In client mode she works fine connecting the wired to the AP and shes
stable as a rock but in repeater mode no connection at all.

Hardware is version C.

repeater->
Nov/11/2006 15:21:54 Repeater connects with AP. BSSID =
00:02:6F:2F:09:43
Nov/11/2006 15:21:54 Repeater disconnects with AP.
Nov/11/2006 15:20:33 Wireless PC connected 00-30-1A-0A-CD-D8
Nov/11/2006 15:20:32 Wireless PC connected 00-30-1A-0A-CD-D8
Nov/11/2006 15:19:24 Repeater connects with AP. BSSID =
00:02:6F:2F:09:43
Nov/11/2006 15:19:23 Repeator mode starts. Channel=4
Nov/11/2006 15:19:22 System started

AP->
STA 30 00:0D:88:82:BC:8E associated

all i see with ethereal on the ap side is EAPOL and LLC packets and
nothing from the pc connected to the repeater.

I'm guessing some1 has a simple solution to this prob ^_~

Cheers.

What kind of hacked firmware exists for this device?

Some Linksys WAP11 firmware will run on the DWL-900AP+. However, the
most common hack is to run DWL-900AP+ firmware on the WAP11. More
features, better SNMP, etc.

The thing to watch out for are the exact hardware version numbers. The
chipsets and designs are completely different in the various DWL900AP,
DWL900AP+, GL2422 devices, WAP11 mutations, etc.

DWL-900AP+ Rev. C with the GL-2422AP 1T1 (ARM9 Mini-PCI)

a link to the hacked firmware is somewhere in

Thanks all. I have a B rev. I'm ashamed to say I never popped the cover
before until now. [I may be decertified as a geek.]

I wonder if anyone ever tried to use the pcmcia card directly in a
notebook?

Just some more info for anyone who can help. The wireless client
connected to the repeater can see arp requests sent out thru the main
ap and when i try to ping from eather side i see the arp request go
thru and the reply is recieved. ARP tables both line up fine but no
data after that is passed.

The repeater remains always unpingable except from the wired.
