DWL-650+ not recognized on bootup

I've been having a problem using a D-Link DWL-650+ on a Dell Inspiron
8200 running XP. It was working just fine for the first 3-4 months.
Then, all of the sudden, it doesn't recognize it as installed when I
boot the computer up, but XP tells me that I have new hardware. I
will then have to hot plug and unplug it a few times, and eventually
it will work just fine for the rest of the session. Sometimes it
works just fine on boot up. I've tried updating the drivers, but then
it doesn't work at all, and I had to roll the driver back. I do have
it using 64 bit encryption with a hex-key. Any suggestions?

Do you ever get a blue crash screen? I have a similar problem with this
card and a Dell Inspiron 2650 and it crashes XP. I finally went back to
using my Netgear card.
