Hi group,

I have a dual channel ISDN-connection to the net and several
networked computers connect through one machine and ICS.

Now I have bought a DWL-624+, mostly for its wireless feature,
and also to use as router once I decide to go for broad band
connection.

I am having some problems with IP-adresses. The DWL wants to be
on 192.168.0.1 and so do the computer I use as connection point
in Internet Connection Sharing. This all happens by default.

Could I change one of them to another adress?
Preferrably the DWL-624+ since I do not think the ICS will
stick with anything else.

W2k.

I too have this problem, though with different manufacturer's hardware.

In the webconfigurator of the dwl, you can change the IP adres of the
router.
If you select the 'Home' button en on the left the 'LAN' button.

good luck,

Herman.

Temporarily change the IP of the PC to something similar,
say 192.168.0.10, browse to the new router, and change ITS
IP address to something else, 192.168.0.253 is a good one to
use. Also change it's DHCP range (if it has one), so it
doesn't conflict with ICS's DHCP capabilities. Then set your
own PC back to "get ip address automatically", and away you
go ;-)

Thank you guys,

It took a few attempts but eventually I did manage do change
those IP-adresses around.
Unfortunately as soon as I attempt to actually try the
connection the notebook with the wireless card, DWL-650+, goes
belly up with the dreaded BSOD.
