xcopy should work, but it is better to use robocopy. these links talks about VPN synchronizing, but it is the same concept.
Synchronize data automatically via VPN We will use robocopy command line to synchronize the data with a report, for example, ... How to use Robocopy to set permission without copying any files ...

Backup data via VPN When it starts, robocopy will compare the data and copy the modified data only from ... How to use Robocopy to set permission without copying any files ...

Hi for all pals!
I have just one server, win2k server, here in the enterprise I work. This
server has 3 hard disks, one for the system, other for file from all users
and other for pictures taken with digital cameras.
I want to shyncronize this 2 discs (files and pictures) with others two
disks installed in a winxppro workstation.
I was using a program called Always Sync (its freeware) and was working well
untill today that it shows me this message: ALWAYS SYNC IS A FREEWARE
PROGRAM, BUT IT`S WORKING WITH MANY FILES AND APPEARS A COMERCIAL USAGE.
PLEASE UPGRADE TO A PROFESSIONAL VERSION...
I don`t want to buy this program, and I was thinking that xcopy could help
me. Is it true?
The files must be shyncronized from win2k to winxp. There are 2 hd on both
system with 250gb each drive.
Tere are files stored since the 1999 year, we add files eveytime.
Delete files and folders must be deleted on the copy too.
Changed files bust be changed on the copy too.
I will shyncronize hour in hour time.
thanks.
