Running RH 6.2 on Pentium/PRO. Kingston/NIC at a PCI slot config_ed ok
as eth0. Uses tulip driver. OK. kudzu identifes 2nd NIC, DFE-530TX,
at another PCI. Used std tools to add driver "rtl8139", system FAILS
to activate eth1..Device busy or Not found!!!Do not know how to query
i/o address or IRQ level NIC at eth1 is defaulting to. Do not recall
what did I do a year ago to get it going..lost drive brought me
back-to-basics!! Any feedback to get my 2nd NIC up! Appreciate. Love

RTFM?

"DFE-530TX

Status Supported, Driver Name: via-rhine

Another card using the VIA Rhine chipset. (see VIA Rhine) Don't confuse this
with the DE-530 which is a tulip based card" (from Ethernet-HOWTO, section 4.14)

HTH, HAND,

-Timo

DFE-530TX uses via-rhine. DFE-530TX+ (plus) uses 8139too. I think an
older SuSE installation tryed to use rtl8139 for my plus and that did NOT
work. Maybe it is time to upgrade your distro.
