We have a Dell Power Edge Server with Dual NIC's. It is being used as a
Webserver for Internet and the Local Intranet. We would like to forward all
External Internet traffice to NIC #1 which has an IP of 192.168.110.19 and
forward all Local Intranet traffice through NIC # 2 using 192.168.110.7
Every time we plug in both NIC's and enable them, either one of the sites,
whether local or the outside quits working. Is there a way to do what we are
trying to do. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

Install RRAS, and make your server as a router

Run one NIC.

Assign both IP#s to the same Nic.

Assign "Web Sites" to the correct IP# is applicable, or leave it to "All
Unassigned" if it is only a single site.

Do not run two Nics in the same subnet.

Do not run two Nics in the machine unless they are different subnets,...and
even then don't do it with out a legitament reason for doing so. Most of the
time I see this done it is not legitiment cases.

Thanks! I had actually already set it up that way but my colleague thought
it would be better to run two NICs. Nice knowing it is setup correctly.

Thanks again.
