With the upcoming 2005 cap I need to be able to monitor the traffic usage on
my DSL-504 routers ADSL port.

I have tried using the DSL-504 utility that is available on the net but been
unable to get it to work due to the firmware ver on my router not supporting
SNMP.

Rather than try and upgrade the firmware (with the risks involced) I was
wondering if anyone know of a program that can moniotr the modm port on the
router that does not require SNMP.

Many thanks

Mark

I bet O.C. Tanner of Salt Lake City is loving all the spam that your use
of thanks.com is generating for him.

Hmm. If you're going to use a phoney email address, its worth checking
the domain isn't legally registered to someone. Its generally
considered rude to use someone's real address as if it were fake.

Have you tried this:
http://shadow.sentry.org/~trev/dsl50x.html

Which version of the router are you running (Generation 1 or 2) and
what is the firmware version?

But the old firmware was so flakey you might as well do yourself a favour
and upgrade. We regulaly have to reboot a DSL-504 running 1.14 . If it
was in my jurisdiction I would have upgrsded it years ago.
