Driving me crazy!

Hi - I am looking for some help/advice as I have just got wireless broadband
in the flat with BT Homehub but I can't seem to get my laptop to save the
settings I choose to connect. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
When I select Network Connections via control panel and right click Witeless
Network Connection and select properties sometimes there is a wireless tab to
select and sometimes not! If there is I select it and tick use windows to
configure.. select my homehub and OK. Sometimes it works sometimes it
doesn't - it is driving me crazy! I did use a cdrom that came with the
hardware that has loaded BT Wireless Connection Manager. If I try to connect
via this it will just not let me saying unable to connect. I am using a
Toshiba with Windows XP home.

Can anyone help a complete computer berk??
