Hello,
I started using the home directory mapping feature in Active Directory Users
and computers a little while ago and am having a big problem. It is using
the H drive and is supposed to be mapping to \\servername\Users$\JDoe.
Unfortunately, sometimes it just maps to \\servername\Users$ and it takes a
reboot or two to get it back to what it should be mapping to. The only thing
that I am doing that might mess it up, although I doubt it, is instead of
using %username% I am actually using the first letter of their first name and
full lastname. I am mainly doing this because their usernames and a
combination of numbers and letters and I am trying to make it easier when
looking at peoples H drives. Any ideas? Thanks!

You need to make it match their account name exactly. So, when you set it
up using %username%, you cannot go wrong.
