hi

about the end of march beginning of April we started to experience drive
mapping issues.

We have a windows 2003 server environment with windows xp sp2 and DFS.
There are no errors on the server event logs or windows xp workstations to
indicate why we are receiving drive mapping issues.

The following happens, the user logs onto the workstation from a shutdown
and can see the drives mapped however if you try to access them it comes up
with an error saying they are unavailable. If you restart your workstation
the drive mappings appear and work great.

if you run an ipconfig /all from the workstation when the drives are not
mapped then all of the dhcp settings appear. Everything appears to be fine.

The logon script is written using kix32 and maps drives using dfs rather
than server names.

Any ideas?
