Hi,

I was downoading a 600MB file overnight, when i came in the morning it
shows that it downloaded around 550MB and i a message says that
Operation canceled bc of Time Out problem.

When I hit the download link again, nothing seems to be cached, i have
to redownload evertyhing from the beginning !

Is there a way to get those 550 MB and can someone explain about the
download process how does it execute?

Not knowing what you're using to do the download makes it a bit
difficult to comment. There are restartable versions of ftp.
