BE Down The Tubes Tonight

If you are using BE as your ISP and you are having trouble getting
websites ..mainly non UK ones ...getting GMail etc and havent visited
the BE Forums then there are ,in their words,MAJOR dns routing issues
which are being attended to .The topic discussing this is currently 28
pages ..lol

Looks like a BGP routing issue

"During the outage the Broadband Network Operations team saw a severe
reduction of traffic on the Linx circuit connection which increased to
normal levels when the problem cleared.
So far all investigations point at a problem in the Linx network and we are
contacting Linx to investigate the root cause of the problem.
Google was also down for several other providers during this time which
further adds to this suspicion that it was routing problems outside of our
network"

Yes, I noticed Google's problem (it made the news!!!)

Still though, it wasn't MASSIVE here: an hour or so of outages.

Show the difference from 20 years ago! ;-)

Clearly: outages will make the news from now on!
