I know this has probably been asked a million times in here but it seems I
can never get the straight goods.
So here I go:
How do I disable the network logon at bootup but still maintain my network
connection after bootup?
If I dump the Client for Microsoft Networks I'll lose the logon but also the
connection. Thanks for any help.

Don't dump Client for Microsoft Networks. Go to Control Panel |
Network and set the primary network logon to Windows Logon. Reboot,
and log on with a user name and no password. It won't ask for a logon
again. All peer-to-peer network functions are available using Windows
Logon

right click 'network neighbourhood', click 'properties',
at 'primary netork logon' select 'windows logon'. when
you reboot all network features which worked prior to the
change will work but you will not have to logon.
