hi,

I am in dire straits now. I was using xp professional.
Formerly it used to be connected to a domain. I changed
it to workgroup for a new internet settings. Doing this
the Internet worked fine and I could get the documents
and my desktop at desktop and settings. However, I could
not get my outlook emails and other shared folders that
was there previously. I then tried going back to system
restore. The restore seemed to work for until booting and
then I would get a message that system could not be
recovered.

Someone please help me on getting back to my previous
state and getting the data back...

Pls pls pls....

Outlook data are usually stored on server while logging into a domain....
I'd suggest trying to log back into the domain and exporting your outlook
data... This could be done on different workstation... Good Luck

Since this issue is dealing entirely with outlook it should only be
posted on an outlook newsgroup.

This newsgroup does have hardware in it's name after all.

Well lets look at the name of the newsgroup. It starts with "microsoft"
so that must mean we only talk about Microsoft products. Next it says
"public" so that means any person can post here. Then it says
"broadbandnet" so since this is a Microsoft newsgroup it must be talking
about the Microsoft Broadband Networking. Last but not least it says
"hardware" So that must mean it is the Microsoft hardware for networking
that we talk about.

Thus this is not a general networking newsgroup, but one for the
Microsoft Broadband networking hardware. I'd suggest posting in a
newsgroup for whatever version of Outlook you are running.

Please do not contact me directly or ask me to contact you directly for
assistance.

If your question is worth asking, it's worth posting.

If it’s not worth posting you should have done a search on
