Domain\username problems with XP/Linux mix

I have 1 PC with Windows XP pro. and another running ubuntu, i have set
the linux box to run samba, and it can see my windows XP hardrive.My
windows XP machine will see the linux box, but is unable to see the
disk drives, it says it requirs a DOMAIN\USERNAME, but i cant work out
what to put in it.
