I have two location and just recently setup a VPN over public line. I want
to add a transitive trust but the domains are not able to see each other. I
am sure the connection is up as I can ping either way. I know I'm missing a
step but don't know what. Please help. Thanks!

Dan

What about name resolution? To set up a trust, the domain controller needs
to be able to find the DC of the "other" domain by name. For NT that means
the <domainname 1C> Netbios special name. This usually means an integrated
WINS service is required. For Active Directory it means the DNS/Ldap special
name for the domain controller, and an integrated DNS service.
