I wish to add a user to my Domain who has a Notebook, the machine
finds the network but I get a " limited connectivity" message and
cannot joint the user to the domain, although the signal strength is
excellent.
The Notebook has been assigned an account on the server, wireless
connectvity works if the user is added to a Peer to Peer LAN at
another site, so I am confident all the hardware is OK.
What am I missing/doing wrong

Hardware details are:
SBS2003 SP1
Acer 4064 Notebook XP PRO /SP2

Frank
thanks for your input, here is what I see
DHCP is alive and well on the server
The notebook does not recieve an IP from the server, nor does it
auto assign one in the 196.X.X.X range.
Even if I set a static IP it will not connect to the domain.

from further research it appears that I have to join the Notebook to
the domain on a CAT5 cable first to set up credentials on the
server for domain use. This I will do tomorrow [Monday AM]

I can connect to the domain with a wire, but as per your comments
below the Notebook assigns itself a 169.X.X.X address when I use the
wireless connection.
IP / DHCP are all set to be obtained automatically.

I have tried adding the Notebook's MAC address to the allowed
connections list in the WAG54G as well as selecting
allow all wireless connections.

Any more thoughts

No joy
The notebook can see the network and establish a limited connection to
it secured or not, but there is no network facilities or internet
available, because probably for some unknown [to me] reason the server
is not issuing it an IP address.
