I have successfully setup Server 2003 and created an AD called
"local.domain" which is assosiated with dns.

I have setup all my users and computers of the domain and then gone to there
pc's running windows xp and logged there machines onto the domain, and
logged into windows using there usernames and passwords but when I tell the
machine to log into the domain it wont do it, so I have to select login to
computer name which is the users pc, I then goto network places and the new
server domain does not exist only the old domain name which was the one we
ran before, which is now completely taken down..

How do i go about fixing this and displaying only one domain in network
places?

Thanks

Adrian.

it could be DNS issue. can you ping the server by name?

Could it be that the drivers for the network card are not loaded until
someone is logged on anyway??

Thanks

Adrian
