since, i had been having problems sharing printers
between xp and 2000, i decided to try and connect w98se
to my network. ctrl panel, network id, i added the
workgroup name that all systems share. i then clicked to
allow printer/file sharing, and the system asked me to
insert 98 CD. DONE. it added drivers and restarted.
now, i can't get into 98 because it's asking for a
windows network username/password/domain name. None of
which I know. Also, i can't boot into safe mode. my
system is a dual boot (98/2000), 2000 being primary boot
drive. therefore, F8 takes me into 2000's SAFE MODE--
not 98's. Any suggestions? THANKS IN ADVANCE:

p.s. how would i find the domain name?

thankx,

I have been having the smae problem. What you have to do
is unplug the adapter and turn it on. Then log in normaly
and go to Control Panel. Then go to Network and under
primary network login, switch it to Windows Logon. Then
plug the card in and restart. Log in normaly and then it
will come up with some messages. Say OK and then click OK
when the network logon screen comes up. Then you can get
in.
