Domain name size limit?

I am using Virtual PC to test some software on a Windows 98 environment. I
need to be able to login to my domain here at work in order to connect to a
printer using Windows 98. When I try to do this, the last character of my
domain name gets cut off, so it will never be able to find my domain. Is
there a limit to the number of characters you can use as a domain name in
Windows 98? It seems like the limit is 15 characters, but the domain I need
to use has 16. Is there any way around this?

Hi Mike,

Netbios names are limited to 15 characters. The Netbios name of your domain
at work cannot be more than 15 characters either.

OK, then is it the Netbios name of my work domain that I need to enter as
the domain I'm joining on Windows 98? And how do I find that Netbios name?
